House Mara - Apartments with Sea View
Our holiday residence is located in the village of Ražanj, near the town of Rogoznica, approximately 50 km from the city of Split. Other points of interest are Split Airport (32 km), the city of Šibenik (48 km), and Zadar Airport (116 km).
The village has around 300 residents, with many more in the summer season. The location offers perfect conditions for a calm and relaxing holiday.

Close by
Our holiday home has the perfect location, only 140m from the sea and 700m from the center of the village. Very close by, on the beach, is the restaurant "Horizont" and a kiosk / bakery.
In the center of the village you'll find further restaurants and bars, as well as the Studenac and Ribola supermarkets.
Numerous attractions
are offered in the surrounding area, including the Plitvice Lakes (Plitvička jezera), Krka Waterfalls / Krka National Park (Slapovi Krke), Dragon's Eye (zmajevo oko), the cities of Zadar, Šibenik, Split, Primošten and Trogir. The islands of Brač and Hvar are accessible by ferry from the city of Split, among many other destinations.
Particularly noteworthy is the port and university city of Split, with nearly 200,000 inhabitants, the second-largest city in Croatia, colloquially referred to as the capital city of Dalmatia.
The history of the city of Split
is remarkable. Founded in the 4th century BCE as a Greek enclave. it was extensively built by the Roman Emperor Diocletian around 300 CE. In the 7th century CE, it was settled by Croats, Byzantines, Venetians, and Hungarians.
The subsequent conquest by the Venetian Empire further influenced the architectural appearance.
From the 16th century onwards, the city resisted numerous attempts of Ottoman conquest over several centuries.
In more recent history, from the early 19th century, the city was controlled by France, followed by Austria-Hungary until shortly after the end of World War I and the collapse of the Austro-Hungarian Empire.

Authentieke plek
Ik ben deze zomer twee weken met mijn kinderen in huis Mara in Ražanj gebleven. Ik kwam voor mijn rust en die heb ik gevonden: geen drukte, geen luide muziek, een paar kleine restaurants en een mooie kust.
Het is een mooie, authentieke plek met een prachtig uitzicht op de Adriatische Zee. De zonsondergangen vanaf het terras op de verdieping zijn adembenemend.
Het strand is op 5 minuten loopafstand, net als de buurtwinkel met lekkere lokale producten.
Zeker een plek om opnieuw te bezoeken.
Spontan gebuchter schöner Kurztripp zu Zweit
Eine bilderbuchschöne Ecke Kroatiens erwartete uns im Mai. Das Haus verfügt über 3 Appartements, die alle gut ausgestattet sind. Der Ausblick vom Appartement auf die Bucht ist bezaubernd, der Weg zum Meer kurz, aber doch schon steil, die Einrichtung nicht so modern, eher zweckmäßig, aber alles funktionstüchtig und reicht völlig aus. Wellness ist anders, aber das braucht es hier auch nicht. Wellness für die Seele gibt’s hier ohne Ende. Der kleine Ort mit seinem idyllischen Hafen ist fussläufig erreichbar, Supermarkt und einige Restaurants runden das Angebot ab. Ausflüge in die nähere Umgebung muss man machen, dazu benötigt man aber definitiv ein Auto! Auch zu Fuß kann man super die nähere Umgebung des Appartements erkunden, es lohnt. Diverse Wanderwege oberhalb der Klippen und entlang der Küste bieten tolle Ausblicke auf das Meer. Das Appartement war sehr sauber, der Vermieter super freundlich, die Schlüsselübergabe easy und es fehlte wirklich nichts. Ich empfehle die Unterkunft als Ausgangspunkt für diverse Ausflüge. Die Lage ist perfekt, ruhig und dennoch super gelegen, um zB Trogir, Split oder auch die nahen Wasserfälle zu besuchen. Das Bad im Meer darf natürlich nicht fehlen und nur knapp 80 m den Weg hinunter, erwartete uns das erfrischende, glasklare Meer in toller Kulisse und schon das lohnt einen Besuch!

Schöne Location zum Start von entspannenden Freizeitaktivitäten. Kurzer Weg zum Wasser, schöner Start zum Wandern und gute Lage, um verschiedene Orte anzufahren.
